John Almarode is an educator, researcher, and bestselling author who specializes in effective teaching practices and that translation of the science of learning into classroom practices. He is a professor at James Madison University in Virginia, where he also serves as an Assistant Academic Unit Head.
Almarode is known for his work connecting research on how the brain learns to classroom teaching practices. He has written numerous books, chapters, and papers. He has worked with organizations, schools, and classrooms across the globe.
Yet, his single greatest accomplishment, if asked, is his family. John lives in Waynesboro, Virginia with his wife Danielle, a fellow educator, their two children, Tessa and Jackson, and Labrador retrievers, Bella, Dukes, and Ollie.
